TOPIC: THE MANUAL OF LIFE
TEXT: John
1:1-14
Memory Verse: “All things were made by him and without Him nothing
was made out of the things were made” John 1:3
INTRODUCTION: Every great product comes with the owner’s manual
which explains in details the power, the functionality and maintenance of the
product, you must pursue the manual. Man is a product of God (Gen. 1:26-28) and
as such he also has a “product manual” (The Bible) which tells in details who
he is, where he is coming from, his purpose here on earth and journey after
here. To profit in life, is to be conversant with your manual. It tells of your
ability, glory, imitation and help in time of needs. Everything you will ever
need is contained in it.

HOW TO
RECEIVE THE WORD
- Come as a child (Matt. 11:25); Approach the Bible with a desire to know more of God.
- Believe God’s Word (Luke 1:45); God watches over his word to perform it Jer. 1:12.
- Study God’s Word (II Tim. 2:15); Study is the only remedy for shame.
- Be teachable and humble (Is.28:9; James 1:21).
HOW TO PUT
THE WORD TO WORK: One of main
channels for putting the word to work is MEDITATION.
(Josh.1:8, Ps. 1:1-2): This is from the Hebrew word HAGAH. It means to ponder, assimilate, reflect upon, digest, to
walk and talk, visualize and personalize.
Requirement for profitable Meditation (Josh. 1:8)
- Think God’s word (Phil. 4:8)
- Talk God’s word (Eph. 4:29)
- Walk in God’s word (Eph. 4:1)
Foundation
for Meditation
- Memorize – Keep it in the heart (Matt. 12:34, Col.3:16), the Hebrew meaning of the word memorize means to keep, so that it can be recollected
- Personalize – Relate the word to word to your personal situation.
CONCLUSION: In Him was light and the light is the life of men.
John 1:4-5. The only place where we can find this life is in the Scripture,
which is called the SCRIPT OF CREATURES.
That’s the only place we can find true purpose of our existence and when
purpose becomes defeated, abuse becomes inevitable. Peace!
