TODAY'S WORD: DOUBT; THE ENEMY OF BLESSING

Luke 12:29
I am often guilty of having a doubtful mind. I know in my heart that God is in control but my mind will dwell on things and worry. It is at these times I especially pray and remind myself that God is in control! He knows what is best and wants what is best for me.....I can trust in Him! When I pray and share my doubts with God He brings peace and confidence that He has everything under control. Prayer reminds my doubtful mind of what my heart already knows.....God is in complete control.
THE MIND is the part of humans that engages in conscious thinking, feeling, and decision-making; in the Bible, the mind and the heart is related. What is conceived in the mind is exercised in the brain. The brain initiates the action. Once the thought goes to the brain the action follows. Doubt to be undecided or skeptical; disbelieve; distrust; fear; a lack of conviction or certainty an example of doubt is stated in Matthew 14:31, when Peter walked on the water but soon begin to sink when he took his eyes off of Jesus. Instantly Jesus reached out his hand and grabbed him. You don’t have much faith, Jesus said. Why did you doubt me? Doubt is defined as unbelief and unbelief in the Greek is defined as disobedience. An example of this is in Mark 6:5-6 and because of their unbelief, he couldn’t do any mighty miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them. And he was amazed at their unbelief.  Yes, unbelief is disobedience and will cause you to be unsuccessful for God
Six Dangers signs to the Christian concerning the mind:
1. Worry in the mind: Luke 12:29-31. And don’t worry about food what to eat and drink. Don’t worry whether God will provide it for you. These things dominate the thoughts of most people, but your Father already knows your needs. He will give you all you need from day to day if you make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.
2. Doubt in the mind: Romans 14:5 In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. Each person should have a personal conviction about this matter.
3. Disunity originates in the mind: Romans 12:16 Live in harmony with each other. Don’t try to act important, but enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all! Philippians 4:2.
4. Don’t grow weary: Hebrews 12:3 Think about all he endured when sinful people did such terrible things to him, so that you don’t become weary and give up. Galatians 6:9 (NKJV), and let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
5. Mental disturbance in the mind: 2 Thessalonians 2:2  Please don’t be so easily shaken and troubled by those who say that the day of the Lord has already begun. Even if they claim to have had a vision, revelations, or a letter supposedly from us, don’t believe them.
6. Spiritual warfare in the mind:  Romans 7:23 But there is another law at work within me that is at war with my mind. This law wins the fight and makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Romans 7:25
Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. In my mind I really want to obey Gods law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin. God is speaking to all believers who refuse to worry or have anxiety that they would enter a state of rest.
The Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, It is through faith that a righteous person has life.
